Provides information about the Ohio Landlord-Tenant Law to 10,000
      Landlords and Tenants throughout Greater Cleveland every year by
      mail, phone, face-to-face contacts, and workshops.  Additionally, staff are available to         assist tenants living in properties facing foreclosure. 


      Involves research and education around public policies which affect
      rental housing generally.


      Staff provided support to organize and strengthen Tenants' organizations
      in multi-family buildings and manufactured home parks in communities
      throughout Northeastern Ohio.

  • Part of the Tenant organizing activities, our Tenants for Healthy Homes efforts focus on outreach and education on the dangers of childhood lead poisoning and other home health hazards.   CTO is a partner of the Greater Cleveland Lead Advisory Council, a collaboration of over 80 agencies and governmental arms working to end childhood lead poisoning.  To learn more about this crisis, visit our partner agency, Environmental health Watch . 


      Staff work to facilitate the transfer of homeless individuals ready for housing into available accessible, affordable units. 


      Provides information and referred services for Tenants being evicted in
      Cuyahoga county.
