Dear _________________:
      Landlord's Name

This letter is to inform you that my apartment is
inadequately heated and I am requesting that you correct this
problem as soon as possible. Over the past ____ days the
interior temperature has been _____ degrees, while the outside
temperature has been below fifty degrees Fahrenheit (50 F.).

Under Section 5321.04 of the Ohio Landlord-Tenant Law, a
landlord is required to supply reasonable amounts of heat at all
times. Furthermore, Section 6.0711 of the City of Cleveland
Housing Code requires that you, "shall supply heat adequate to
maintain an inside temperature of not less than seventy degrees
Fahrenheit (70 F.) in all habitable rooms, bathrooms, and toilet
rooms whenever the outside temperature falls below fifty degrees
Fahrenheit (50 F.)."

If my apartment is not adequately heated within a
reasonable time, I will have no choice but to take the necessary
legal action as provided by the Ohio Landlord-Tenant Law. I will
appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.

                         Sincerely,

                         ______________________
