The
Cleveland Tenants Organization (CTO) was formed in 1975, after the passage of
the Ohio Landlord-Tenant Law, in order to assist landlords and tenants in
understanding the new law and their rights and responsibilities outlined in the
law. Over time, the organization has continued to grow and expand to
include programs and services for Greater Clevelander’s concerned with rental
information, dispute resolution, community education, equal housing
opportunities, and affordable housing options in the rental housing industry.

CTO has a staff of 10 persons and an annual budget of $450,000. CTO. is governed by a 21 person Board of Trustees representing a broad spectrum of the community. CTO has approximately 400 individual members and over 1,000 affiliate members who belong to local tenant organizations which are affiliated with CTO.Mike Piepsny is the Executive Director of the organization and Ruby Nelson is the President of the Board of Trustees.

The process is simple...Donate your car to the VOA, receive confirmation of amount that you can write-off on your taxes, and designate CTO as your non-profit of choice! Not only will your receive the tax write-off, but CTO will split the proceeds of the sale of your vehicle with the VOA!.
